Glasgow Antiques and Fine Arts Society (GAFAS) is an independent art organisation,
founded in 1973.
We obtain information about you when you apply to become a member which is your
name, address, telephone number and email address. These are your basic contact details
so that we can send you information about the Society, including the programme of talks
and events, membership card, outings, etc.
As membership subscriptions are paid by standing order, you will be asked to send a completed form to us, so we
can add a reference that allows us to identify your payment. The form is then forwarded to
your bank, and absolutely no bank details are retained by GAFAS.
We will not sell or rent your information to third parties and will not share your information
with third parties for marketing purposes. Your contact details are stored on computer,
which is password protected, and additional hardcopies are kept in a safe location.
Should you terminate your membership and wish us to delete your contact details, you can
contact us at any time. Otherwise your details will be deleted from our database during the
second year after your resignation; this allows us to retain information of members whose
subscriptions are delayed.
The accuracy of your information is important to us. If you change your email address, or
any of the other contact details, please let us know.
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information GAFAS hold about you, without cost.
